The Desert shirt was inspired on that old shirt you use on house work or go off hiking. A double stitch all over gives it a rugged look, and it makes it a strong piece built for long-term use.
The ample fit is perfect to layer up in colder climates. The heavy weight fabric allows you to wear it as an overshirt when it starts to get warmer. The softness of the organic cotton brushed effect makes it the perfect blanket to go out anywhere.
Dyed using vegetable dyes. Particularly the leafs of Clitoria ternatea were used to dye the yarn into a light reddish blue. Terminalia chebula is used for the khaki yellow.
Unlike other traditional forms of dyeing with plants and minerals, fabric was dyed in a steam bath and contains no mordant, which means, Zero Chemicals. The residue is minimum and can be used as compost.
Our collections are made in small limited batches.
