The Desert shirt was inspired on that old shirt you use on house work or go off hiking. A double stitch all over gives it a rugged look, and it makes it a strong piece built for long-term use.
The ample fit is perfect to layer up in colder climates. The heavy weight fabric allows you to wear it as an overshirt when it starts to get warmer. The stiffness and monocolor of the fabric makes it the perfect shirt for any occassion either indoors or outdoors. Just wear it anywhere.
Dyed using mineral dyes. Particularly fermented iron is used for a brownish grey and black.
Because it has an iron base, color will naturally change due to oxidation and light. It is also very susceptible to acid compounds like sweat or lemon.
Fabric has been dyed using traditional forms of dyeing with plants and minerals, with Alum as a mordant. However, waste is neutralized and the minimum residue can be used as compost.
Our collections are made in small limited batches.
